Particularly the "something every day". I'd say that's the single most important one - keeping that momentum up. Many people fail because they give up.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I would also add (specific to your goals) - do something once a week that will significantly increase your profile - put up a "professional shots only" flickr stream. Get a "use this photo" gallery online. Ensure that google images is spidering you correctly. Put fliers around the (either local or global) neighbourhood. Write a guest post for a huge photography blog. etc etc - remember, photography no LONGER has to be local. You can work global.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Interestingly, I've fallen into exactly the same trap (deferred living). I spent the entire of yesterday getting my head sorted out to get me out of it.
